Stoddard is a top-notch scientist defected to the US. He is the father of Reiko, who is a potential target for kidnappers. OSI agent Jaime Sommers is assigned to bodyguard Reiko.
Jaime later meets Stoddard herself, with Reiko introducing her as the robot lady to Stoddard.
